Objective

Through our hike and this blog, we're hoping to raise awareness and support for two ministries.  Our idea is for those of you with a kind heart to donate a penny for every mile we hike.  Since the Appalachian Trail is roughly 2,200 miles long, this equates to $22.

Don't want to give up $22? Then look at it this way...

• If we finish the trail in 4 months, it'd be like giving $5.50 per month
• $5.50 is similar in price to a Chick-Fil-A sandwich meal
• A Chick-Fil-A sandwich meal is something we won't get to eat all the time

So join us, and give up a Chick-Fil-A sandwich meal once a month and give that money to REBUILD Church and Ministries and to END IT Movement!

Ministries

REBUILD Church & Ministries

We both had the awesome opportunity to go to New Orleans last spring break to partner in ministry with Richard Johnson. While down there, we got to see the incredible ways God is moving in New Orleans as we saw the Kingdom of God being built firsthand.

Recently, Richard has planted a new work called REBUILD Church and Ministries. This ministry is focused on raising up passionate disciples of Christ who will then reach out & disciple others. We believe God's hand is on this ministry and we would like to support Richard in both finances and prayer.

END IT Movement

From forced labor in factories, quarries, and brothels, there are 27 million slaves in the world.  END IT Movement's goal is to "shine a light on slavery" by raising awareness and money for organizations that fight slavery, such as International Justice Mission, Polaris Project, and Love 146.
